The City Together Website is owned and operated by the Mayor and Commonalty and Citizens of the City of London (”the City of London” “us” “we”) of PO Box 270 Guildhall London EC2P 2EJ on behalf of The City Together partnership. The City Together is a local partnership of public, private and voluntary sector bodies, plus representatives from the City’s residential and business communities.
2. By accessing and using the Website you the user (“you” “your”) agree to be bound by the terms and conditions as updated from time to time. If you are under 16, please make sure that you obtain your parent/guardian’s permission before providing any personal information to us. If we discover that a user is under 16 and has not obtained such permission we reserve the right to delete any messages posted to the Website.
3. We reserve the right to change these terms and conditions without notice. The date of the latest update will be displayed on the Website. If you do not agree to any change you should not continue to use the Website.
4. You acknowledge and agree that all messages you post to the Website are subject to moderation by the City of London, including approval and necessary editing. The City of London has the right to decide in its complete discretion whether a message is appropriate to be displayed on the Website.
5. You may not post any messages which are offensive, defamatory, illegal or threatening to others or which infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party. We reserve the right to remove messages at any time for any reason.

The City of London shall not be liable for any losses or damages arising from the use of the Website including reliance on information contained on the Website except in respect of death or personal injury caused by our negligence or in respect of fraud.

All intellectual property rights including copyright, Database Right, First Publication Rights, patents, Registered Trade Marks, know-how, intellectual or industrial property rights including format, art direction, look and feel and content of the Website subsisting throughout the World shall vest in the City of London.

Any trade mark, logo, crest or other identifiable emblem of the City of London or The City Together shall remain the property of the City of London/ The City Together at all times and no licence or right to use any of the same shall be granted or implied in any way
15. Users may not modify, copy, distribute, transmit, display, reproduce, publish, licence or create derivative works or sell any information obtained from the Website. Users may download information or images for private non-commercial viewing purposes only.
Availability of the Website
16. The City of London will use its reasonable endeavours to ensure the availability of the Website and that transmissions are error free. However, due to the nature of the Internet it is not technically possible for the City of London to provide a completely fault free service and the City of London gives no guarantees or warranties express or implied as to the quality or reliability of access to this Website.

The City of London reserves the right to suspend or cancel the Website or refuse access to it immediately and without notice in order to maintain, repair or update the Website or if it is necessary for legal reasons. However, the City of London will where possible give notice of any suspension or cancellation on the Website.

18. This Privacy Statement explains what information the City of London may collect about you and how we will use that information. By using the Website your consent to us collecting and using information about you in accordance with this Privacy Statement.

In order to take part in the online consultation process provided by the Website or to make use of any other interactive elements on the Website you are required to register with the City of London. If you choose to register you will need to provide the following personal information: - name, email address, relation to the city, how you heard about the site and age. 20. The City of London is the Data Controller of the personal information you disclose via the Website and will comply with our legal obligations under the Data Protection Act 1998 in processing your personal information.

The information we collect from you enables us to verify the identity of persons submitting comments via the online consultation process, to moderate comments and prevent inappropriate messages being posted. We may also make use of the information we gather about your online preferences from your cookie to tailor the Website to provide you with a better online experience and analyse the profile of users -.e.g. highlight information that you appear to be particularly interested in.
23. Although the City of London will moderate all messages posted on the Website we accept no liability for any personal information which you may include in a message. You are strongly advised not to include any personally identifying information which may expose you to identity theft or threaten your personal safety such as your name, address, email or telephone numbers.

The City of London will not disclose any personal information to third parties including our The City Together partners unless we have requested and obtained your express consent to such disclosure or we are required to disclose by law. Please note however that we will disclose anonymised comments you have submitted through the online consultation to our The City Together partners.
25. The City of London would like to use your information for the purpose of providing you with material about any special areas of the City of London or The City Together partnership which it is believed may be of interest to you and for related marketing purposes. The City of London will only provide you with this material if you have ticked the opt-in box on your Registration Form.
26. If at any time you wish to receive material about any other City of London or The City Together areas which you currently do not receive or if you wish to stop receiving any material you may request amendment or removal of your preferences by amending the opt-in box on your Registration Form.
27. The personal data collected by the City of London will be evaluated periodically to determine whether it should continue to hold such data. Subject to any legal retention requirements you may notify the City of London if you do not wish data to be continually held by the City of London or require the information to be updated or inaccuracies corrected. 29. The City of London may provide aggregate statistics relating to use of the Website to The City Together, Central Government, Government agencies and other public bodies but these will not include any personally identifying information.
30. The City of London may monitor user traffic on an aggregate basis in order to help it develop and improve the Website for the benefit of all users.

35. You must take reasonable precautions to prevent the fraudulent use of your security details including password and must notify the City of London in the event that you suspect a third party has obtained your security details.

In accordance with the requirements of the Data Protection Act 1998 the City of London will take reasonable steps to ensure that data transmitted electronically to the City of London via the Website or otherwise and stored by the City of London is not accessed by unauthorised third parties. You accept the risk that data transmitted electronically to the City of London via the Website or otherwise may be intercepted before reaching the City of London or accessed from the City of London’s data storage by third parties not authorised by the City of London and may be exploited unlawfully by such unauthorised third parties.
Transmission and transfer of data outside the EU

Jurisdiction
45. The Website is situated in London England and all the Legal Notices shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales and subject to the jurisdiction of the English Courts.
